In store: five MAMY branches across Nairobi
Westlands, opposite Sarit Centre. Nairobi CBD, on Mama Ngina Street. Parklands, at Diamond Plaza 1. Mombasa Road, at Imaara Mall. Thika Road, at TRM.
Imaara Mall, Diamond Plaza and TRM open seven days a week. Westlands and the CBD open Monday to Saturday.
Every store has an optometrist, the full range of frames to try on, and a team that will adjust your glasses for free for as long as you own them.
Step one is free
The computerised eye test is free at every store, takes about 15 minutes, and you leave with a prescription you can use anywhere. No appointment needed.
What prescription glasses cost at MAMY
Three lines, three prices, lenses included: Essential from Ksh 1,900, Eyewear from Ksh 6,500, Signature from Ksh 15,000.
The included lens is standard-index and clear, with anti-reflective, anti-scratch and 100% UV coatings.
Add Blue Control or Photochromic for Ksh 3,000 each, Photomax for Ksh 5,000, or extra-thin 1.6 lenses for Ksh 8,500. Progressive lenses are fitted in store; ask our optometrist for a quote.
Online: free delivery across Kenya
Choose a frame, then upload your prescription, type it in, or send it later. Our team checks every order before the lenses are cut.
Standard delivery is free. Orders in Nairobi arrive within 2–3 working days, other cities within the same week, with tracking by SMS and email.
Unworn frames can be returned or exchanged within 30 days. Prescription lenses are made to order and non-refundable unless faulty. Every frame carries a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Paying with medical insurance
We bill 29 medical insurers directly, including AAR, APA, Britam, CIC, Old Mutual and UAP. Bring your card or member number to any store; the full list is on our insurance partners page.
Sunglasses and contact lenses too
Most MAMY sunglasses can be made with your prescription, so one pair covers sun and sight.
